This Weekend: The 'welcome to fall' edition
Looking for something to do this first weekend of fall? Here’s some of our picks for arts and culture events taking place in southeastern San Diego and around town.
The west coast premiere of Welcome to Arroyo’s opens at The Old Globe on Saturday night. This tale of Alejandro and Molly — a brother and sister who are learning to cope after their mother passes away — was a 2010 Pulitzer-Prize finalist. Local graffiti arts program Writerz Blok was commissioned to paint the backdrops and create Molly’s art. Written by Kristoffer Diaz; directed by Jaime Castañeda. Tickets are $29 – $49. (Please note there is some strong language in the program.)
