Public Health and the 47th Street Bus Rapid Transit Station
Wednesday, November 16, 6 – 8 p.m.
Emerald Hills Room
Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation
SANDAG is beginning a project to identify design alternatives for a new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station at the 47th Street Trolley stop in Southeastern San Diego and would like your input! A 47th Street bus station project would make transit a more viable option for residents, and improve access to regional transit services and support existing community revitalization efforts.
To kick?off the project, SANDAG is conducting an assessment of the potential public health benefits and impacts of the bus station design including improvements to pedestrian and bicycle access and safety. Over the next few months, SANDAG will host two community meetings to gather input from residents and stakeholders on how the project design might enhance the ability of local residents to use transit.
Please plan to join us for the first meeting on November 16th at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, 404 Euclid Ave, San Diego, CA 92114. For questions or more information, contact Phil Trom at ptr@sandag.org or (619) 699?7330.
