What is CalFresh?

King Chavez CalFresh Flyer EnglishSpanish December[1]CalFresh (formerly known as food stamps) is a nutrition assistance program that helps families buy fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals, meats and other healthy foods. Most households that receive CalFresh get more than $200 each month!

You may qualify if:
?You or your family members are citizens/legal -permanent residents
?You live in San Diego County
?Your gross monthly income meets income guidelines

It’s Easy to Apply!
Call the Feeding America San Diego CalFresh Team at (858) 863-6635 to schedule a CalFresh application appointment with a Feeding America San Diego Case Manager. We will make copies of your documents and submit your application directly to the county.

Bring the Following Documents to Your Appointment:
?Proof of identification for every members of your household
?Social Security Numbers for the people applying for CalFresh
?Proof of Income (Pay stubs, Unemployment, child support, etc.)
?Proof of Rent (Rent receipt, Lease contract, etc.)
?Proof of Utility Bills (SDGE, telephone, cell phone, water, trash)
