Summer is Full STE[+a]M Ahead! Are you Ready? 

Spend your summer doing fun hands-on activities that help better your community. Apply TODAY for the Full STE[+a]M Ahead Program! This annual summer program builds off of the national STE[+a]M education movement that combines the arts with science, technology, engineering, and math. The program offers activities related to science, food justice, urban gardening, and photography providing a comprehensive curriculum that will prepare students in southeastern San Diego for competitive careers in the 21st century. Students in grades 9 – 12 who live or go to high school in southeastern San Diego are eligible for this FREE program. 

Two Tracks Offered: 

TRACK 1 July 13 – 31 – From Food Swamps to Green Communities: Leading the Good Food Revolution 
Monday – Friday 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Elementary Institute of Science (608 51st Street)

TRACK 2 July 27 – August 7
 – Placemaking in a Digital World, Storytelling through Photography
Monday – Thursday 1 – 5 pm at Project New Village (5106 Federal Boulevard, Suite 103)
Fridays 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Elementary Institute of Science (608 51st Street)

Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible to receive college credit!
