National Day of Civic Hacking Kicks Off This Friday, June 5
Kids, parents, programmers and public officials come together to ‘build a better San Diego’ as part of the National Day of Civic Hacking. The co-alition of organizing groups is led by Open San Diego, a Brigade Chapter of Code for America, the group coordinating the national efforts. Activities will take place at four diferent sites in three different neighborhoods. There will be something to do for anyone interested in presentations and hands-on experiences aimed at making the lives of San Diegans better.
A civic hack will take place in southeastern San Diego’s Diamond Neighborhoods during the Urban Collaborative Project’s Taste of the 4 Corners:
Friday, June 5

Come experience good food from local food trucks and connect with your neighbors! During this time the Jacobs Center will be implementing their civic hack of a roaming community radio station. The conversations collected as part of the community radio station hack will be available on the Train of Thought Podcast the next morning, Saturday, June 6. You can listen here.
