The Results of the Redevelopment Survey are in!

The results of the Jacobs Center’s Redevelopment Survey were announced at our second Town Hall meeting held on Thursday, June 25. The survey, which concluded last month, asked residents which restaurants, retailers and services they would like to see in their neighborhood.

In addition to listing business that are growing, the survey also asked for resident’s ideas. The top results from each category are listed below:

Full Service Restaurants: 

• BJ’s Brewhouse
• California Pizza Kitchen
• Islands

Casual Dining Restaurants:

• Phil’s BBQ
• Denny’s
• Buffalo Wild Wings

Fast Casual Restaurants:

• Wings N’ Things/Wing Stop
• Pick Up Stix
• Nektar Juice Bar

Retailers:

• Petco
• Sally Beauty Supply
• AutoZone

Service Providers:

• A credit union
• Planet Fitness
• Supercuts or Massage Envy

Additionally, there was a strong desire to bring more local businesses to the area.

Moving forward, our redevelopment team will explore these options and see which ones are compatible with the local market in the Diamond Neighborhoods.

Everyone who participated in the survey was entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to the top selected full service restaurant, which was BJ’s Brewhouse. Nora Rocha was the randomly selected winner. Congratulations Nora and thank you to everyone who completed a survey!
