Join the Jacobs Center’s #ImNotAStereotype Campaign
We’re excited to bring the critically-acclaimed classical music duo Black Violin to our Celebration Hall on February 20! In doing so, we are hoping to spread an important message across social media.
Through their latest album Stereotypes, Black Violin is challenging the preconceived notions of what classical music can be and the musicians who play it. We want to further the discussion of the stereotypes people and organizations face in their life and work, and give them the opportunity to declare #ImNotAStereotype through a special online campaign.
It’s easy to participate:
- Snap a photo of yourself or something that represents your organization.
- Create a post on social media using the photo and explaining what stereotypes you have encountered.
- Make sure to include the hashtag #ImNotAStereotype and tag the Jacobs Center (Instagram/Twitter: @jacobscenter. Facebook: Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation).
