Museum Mash Up – FREE ADMISSION! SDHC joins nearly 20 museums and cultural institutions across the county for a family friendly fair at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. Live music, dance performances will be on the cultural stage as well as animal and creature appearances from local nature centers plus dozens of hands-on activities from museums across the region make for a family fun day out like no other. Sunday, September 29 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Jo & Vi Jacobs Center 404 Euclid Avenue.
The new San Diego Central Library will be fully open for business Monday, Sept. 30. Special opening day hours will be in effect that day from 9:30 Amt o 8:00 PM. Before it’s officially open for business, the City of San Diego will be hosting a free Celebration and Sneak Peek of the new Central Library on Saturday, September 28, which will feature the Library dedication, family-oriented street festival and a sneak peek at first floor areas and the auditorium of the iconic new building.

Filipino-American Arts and Culture Festival– October 5, 2013 11 AM– 6PM. The Filipino American Arts & Culture Festival, better known as FilAm Fest is a one-day event showcasing the proud history, culture and amazing talents of the Filipino Community. This event will feature two stages with various performances throughout the day, delicious cuisine, vendor booths both informational and commercial, a children’s area and an art exhibit.
3rd Annual Southeastern X-Fest- This festival is free to the community and promotes public safety through supporting and showcasing healthy and legal activity. X-Fest will have pro BMX and skateboard demos, car show featuring low riders and vintage police cars, music, boxing, live graffiti, rock climbing, clowns, bounce houses for local kids in the community. Join us on October 12, 2013 from 11AM– 4PM.
St. Rita Catholic Church– Will be hosting their Fourth Annual Health and Resource Fair, Saturday October 12th, 2013 from 10:30AM to 3PM.
