February 15, 2014, 5:30-8:00 PM – Symposium: “Why is America Afraid of Our Young Black Men?”  A discussion around the Oscar Grant Story featured in the award winning film. Fruitvale Station (optional viewing of film)

February 22, 2014, 2:00 PM – Lecture by Noted Photographer Brent Lewis, “The history of African American photographers with an emphasis on documentary and photojournalism”

February 26, 2014 5:30 PM – Appreciation reception for Bayview Baptist Church. 7:00 PM- Black History Play, Bayview Sanctuary

All events will be held at the M. L. King Center on the campus of Bayview Baptist Church and are free to the public unless otherwise noted.
