Know Your Rights!

Join us for a workshop series to learn about immigrant rights, protections provided by new laws in California, and the impacts on you and your community. Come learn and ask your questions.

Platicando Con Mi Gente is a group of Latino residents working together to build leadership in the Latino community of southeastern San Diego.

Workshops will be presented in Spanish with English translation.

OCTOBER 7
Protect Yourself: Know Your Rights  & the California Trust Act
Understand your rights as an immigrant in the United States and your protections under the California Trust Act.

OCTOBER 14
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
Learn about administrative relief for immigrants who arrived to the United States as children. Find out if you qualify for DACA and get connected to the network helping people apply and reapply.

OCTOBER 21
Driver’s License
Undocumented immigrants will be qualified to get a driver’s license in California beginning in January 2015. Come find out the requirements and how you can get started.
