Chollas Creek Restoration
This project will remove invasive plant species, re-vegetate the creek with native plants, and re-direct creek flows to reduce flooding. It will also beautify the area with public art works and create places for residents to gather and enjoy the outdoors. A pedestrian bridge across the creek will be added to provide a safer pathway for students attending Horton Elementary School.
For more information or questions email DiamondJobs@JacobsCenter.org.
This project is funded in part by the Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006 (Prop 84) and with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
